Sunny Skies Enterprise CIC is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to support adults with a learning disability to run their own businesses and projects in and around Melton Mowbray. Our goal is to enable people to learn new skills, build confidence, make friends, and be a valued and celebrated member of their community.
In 2019 we opened the Sunny Skies community café in Melton Country Park. The café has grown into a thriving hub for our Welly’s Workers and the wider community.
In 2025 we launched our brand new Sunny Space project. The Sunny Space features a community allotment, cutting flower gardens for floristry, and spaces for relaxation and wellbeing sessions.

Sunny Skies Café is a not-for-profit community café located in the heart of Melton Mowbray Country Park. More than just a café, it provides meaningful work experience opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and creates a friendly space for the whole community to connect.
We offer customers a relaxed and friendly environment where you can enjoy freshly made cakes and savoury treats along with locally sourced coffee. The café gives our Welly’s Workers the opportunity to learn new skills and grow their confidence.
There is a free car park next to the café. The building has step-free access and an accessible toilet.
Helping the Community
At our Sunny Skies Café we support many community groups and projects. We work closely with a range of partners including Melton Space, the NHS, Melton Transitions, and Friends of Melton Country Park.
Current projects include weekly Humour Hub workshops in partnership with the NHS and Bright Spark Arts. We also have a weekly ‘Winner Winner Community Dinner’. The group started as a small meet up for people living with dementia and their carers. It has expanded to be a thriving community project that connects people looking to make friends and improve their wellbeing.
